- According to the Senate Armed Services Committee's torture report, the Bush administration ordered the military to torture detainees so that they could trumpet a non-existent link between Sadaam Hussein and 9/11 and justify an unjustifiable war.
- When those soldiers were prosecuted and imprisoned for the Abu Ghraib torture prisoner abuse, the Bush administration said not a word to defend them, even though orders for abuse came "straight line" from the White House. Those soldiers sit in jail today.
- Even though we now know that both the military and the CIA were running around torturing people at the insistence of senior members of the Bush Administration (and kudos to the FBI for refusing to participate in those war crimes from day one), we still don't know where Osama bin Laden is. Still. Nearly eight years later.
Just go "hmm" on that for a while.
